2. Registration and Payment of Registration Fee

If you are planning to attend the conference, please register in advance via the conference registration site (https://tottori2023jsfee.peatix.com/: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only), which will be opened on April 17 (Mon.) 
Those planning to present are required to register in advance. Please access the conference registration site, which will be opened on April 17 (tentative), select the appropriate ticket, and fill out and submit the required information. Please pay the conference registration fee by credit card, at convenience store or ATM, or via Paypal. Please note that once the registration fee has been paid, it cannot be refunded due to the accounting system.
The deadline for registration is Thursday, August 10. Please note that there will be no on-site registration on the day of the conference.

Notes:
・The conference registration fee includes participation in research presentations (oral and poster), international exchange meeting (English reporting sessions and international exchange meeting), permanent and special study groups, and independent research projects. Presenter must be the member of this society.
・Public Symposium and Environmental Education Messe are open to public (no registration fee required), but a conference registration and payment of registration fee are required for the other programs.
・“Group Members” must register and pay the conference registration fee for each participant.

・The reception will be held at the University Co-op/cafeteria.

3. How to Apply for Presentation at the Conference and Deadlines

The deadlines for submitting presentation applications and abstracts at the conference are as follows. Presenters must be members of the Japanese Society for Environmental Education. Non-members who wish to become presenters are requested to apply for membership by May 31 (Wed) by referring to the membership application details on the Society's webpage (http://www.jsfee.jp/general/membership-application: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only). Only one oral or poster presentation per person is allowed. Duplicate presentations are not allowed.

・Deadline for presenters (speakers) to enroll the Society:
May 31 (Wed), 6 PM Japanese Standard Time (JST)

・Deadline for application for an oral or a poster presentation:
June 20 (Tue), 6 PM JST

・Deadline for application for independent research project:
June 20 (Tue), 6 PM JST

Deadline for submission of Presentation Abstracts:
・July 1 (Sat), 6 PM JST

Deadline for submission of Presentation Summary:
・July 20 (Thurs), 6 PM JST

(1) Application for oral presentation (research presentation/practice report)
・The “research presentation” focuses on academic implications, while the “practice report” emphasizes practical activities.
・If you wish to give an oral presentation, please register at the registration webpage https://tottori2023jsfee.peatix.com/: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only). Once registered, the secretariat will send you an abstract registration form and presentation summary format.
・Oral presentations may be given in either English or Japanese. The English presentation will be given in the English-language session, regardless of the theme. Please note that duplicate presentations in English and Japanese are not allowed.
・Each research presentation will be 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions).
・Presenters are required to bring their own computers for presentation. No computers will be available for rent at the venue. The HDMI input is used for the projector. Please prepare your presentation on a computer with the HDMI output.
・Guest IDs and passwords for on-campus Wi-Fi access will be provided at the registration desk on the day of the conference. In addition, the “eduroam” can be used. For more information about “eduroam”, please refer to https://www.eduroam.jp/.
・Oral presentations may be presented online. Please choose online or face-to-face (Tottori) at the time of registration.Please note that online oral presentations in Japanese will be available only on August 26. Online oral presentation in English will be scheduled in “English oral presentation session” in morning of August 27.
・Some rooms will be reserved to listen to oral presentations (online) at the venue on the morning of August 26. If you wish to listen to the oral presentations (online) at the venue, please bring your own PC, earphones, etc. to that room and connect to the Internet by yourself. To avoid problems, please refrain from presenting oral presentations (online) from these rooms.

(2) Application for poster presentation
・Display space for poster presentations is A0 size (Length: 1189 mm x width: 841 mm, simili paper <1090 mm x 790 mm> is also acceptable) per poster.
・If you wish to give a poster presentation, please register at the registration webpage (https://tottori2023jsfee.peatix.com/: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only). Once registered, the secretariat will send you an abstract registration form and presentation summary format.
・Poster presentations may be given in either English or Japanese.

(3) Application for independent research presentation
・Groups planning to make a group presentation or hold a small meeting as an independent research project are requested to apply by the representative. Please register at the registration webpage (https://tottori2023jsfee.peatix.com/: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only), which will be open on April 17. Once registered, the secretariat will send you an abstract registration form and presentation summary format.

(4) After registration
・Please note that you cannot change your presentation title once registered.

(5) Submitting of the abstract
・Once registered, the secretariat will send the representative of the presentation an abstract registration form and presentation summary format.
・In the abstract registration form, you will be asked to provide the title of your presentation, keywords, and presenter(s).Due to the need to schedule the program, we ask for your cooperation in registering your presentation abstract by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, before the deadline for abstract submission.
・A Word file will be sent to you as a format for your presentation abstract. Abstracts should be no more than one A4 page, including presentation title, presenter(s), keywords, and abstract. Please send your abstract to the Conference Organizing Committee Secretariat < tottori2023.jsfee[at]gmail.com (please change [at] to @) > by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20. Please note that you will not be able to present your work after the deadline.
・If you are applying for both "Oral or Poster Presentation" and "Independent Research Project", please submit an abstract for each presentation.
・Upon receipt of your abstract, the Conference Organizing Committee Secretariat will send you an e-mail within three business days. In the unlikely event that you do not receive an e-mail within three business days, please contact the Executive Committee Secretariat.

(6) Other notes
・Group members may also apply for presentation, but only one person per group may give either an oral or poster presentation.
・All speakers for oral presentations and presenters for poster presentations must be members of the conference (except high school students). Other co-presenters do not necessarily need to be members of the Society.
・Please download the abstract book from the conference website in advance and view it on your own device or print it out and bring it with you.
・Please read the "Ethical Code of the Japanese Society for Environmental Education"(https://www.jsfee.jp/images/others/jsfee_ethics_code.pdf: Sorry, but this webpage is in Japanese only) before your presentation.

Excursions
・Currently, we are planning the events of Tottori Sand Dunes Walk (August 25, 16:30-18:30) at Tottori City and Cruise around Mizushima Industrial Complex at Mizushima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture (August 28), details of which will be posted on the conference website by end of April. Please register for the excursion separately from the conference, via the conference website, by August 21.

Environmental Education Messe

・The Environmental Education Messe (Environmental Education Trade Fair) will be held as a public program. In addition to presenting and selling products and materials related to environmental education, the event will also introduce the efforts of various organizations and companies.

<We are now accepting applications for Environmental Education Messe exhibitors!!>

You can freely promote your products related to environmental education, report and present your activities, and exhibit your products in the exhibition space. Educational material production companies, businesses involved in Environmental Education activities, NGOs/NPOs, university laboratories, etc. are all welcome to exhibit. Please use it as a place to communicate with conference participants. The exhibition fee is 5,000 yen (per booth).

Those who wish to exhibit are requested to apply to the Conference Organizing Committee Secretariat < tottori2023.jsfee[at]gmail.com (please change [at] to @) > by July 7. Inquiries should also be directed to the above e-mail address.

Announcement
・The Research and Practice Encouragement Awards will be judged in a face-to-face session. Application guidelines and other information will be announced later on the conference website and in the Environmental Education E-News. Registration for participation/presentation and abstracts for oral presentations must be completed by the respective deadlines as for general members.
・If you wish to use sign language, etc., please consult with the Conference Organizing Committee Secretariat < tottori2023.jsfee[at]gmail.com (please change [at] to @) > in advance.
・Please make your own arrangements for accommodations (the Conference Organizing Committee will not make reservations or arrange for mediation). Please secure your accommodation ahead of time.
・The Tottori University cafeteria will be available during the conference.
・Please pay the conference registration fee even if you attend only the Permanent Research Projects.
